Swans on the River, Sheep in the Fields

This is a photo of the second day out, still pretty muddy around the gates.

How many thousands of sheep have we passed? It's a knitter's dream. Also, each sheep has at 1-3 lambs with her and the adorableness is overwhelming. Do we eat them or knit them?

And the swans! We've seen quite a few now, even lucky enough to see one sitting on its nest with its mate guarding. We kept our distance; it was across the river anyway.

New Inn in Lechlade we dried our clothes on the radiator in our room- works great.

And here is the exterior of the hotel, quite quaint.

The church in the background here is where the poet Shelley wrote some famous sonnet or ode or other...

That's all for now! We'll try to send more later. Have a tour of Oxford to do today.

  1. Is that a fireplace in your room? Looks cozy! The countryside is beautiful. And the swan's nest in awesome. Never seen that before.
